!Accessorize!

I've been working for months now on a new line of fashion accessories and I don't know when I'm ever going to find the time to create everything that I have sketched! It didn't help matters any when my daughter was diagnosed with the regular flu and the H1N1 virus last week! She is almost over it now...whew!

Here are a few of the new items I've added to my Etsy Boutique and will be coming soon to my website.

The "Taylor" Brooch is made with tres chic burlap and was inspired by my favorite store Anthropologie
Pretty "Lana" Brooch with several shades of pink

The "Kinzie" Brooch in earth tones

"Ravishing Rosette" Brooch in bubble gum pink

I decided to add some tulle to some of my "Ravishing Rosettes"...Ooh la la! The "Juliette" Brooch is shown below
The newest"Ravishing Rosettes" come with a pin back as well as a hair clip so they are so versatile!
Lots of colors and designs to list!

I pinned this one to a piece of satin ribbon...how divine!
"Butterfly Be Free" Purse
"French Quarter" Purse. This purse was inspired by the French Quarter in New Orleans (one of my favorite vacations spots!).
Have a fabulous day!

Fabulous Find of the Day

It's been a long time since I've featured a Fabulous Find of the Day but I had to share these fabulicious things with you! Tracy Porter has always been an inspiration for me. I own several of her books and have looked at them numerous times and have used some of ideas when decorating my home. Many of you are familiar with her line for the home but her clothing line is tres chic and I pulled a few of my favorites to showcase here.

The eye-catching photo that was in their emailed newsletter:

The website! Watch the video!
Modern Muse Sleevless Dress I would wear this with a pair of black leggings and a cardigan sweater on a crisp Fall/Autumn day!
Gypsy Leopard Duster Coat Divine leopard print...need I say more?
Dream-of-Me Blazer Jacket The jacket that caught my eye in their newsletter. Look at those gorgeous roses!
Heirloom Tall Boots The Blazer needs to be paired with this pair of beautiful boots and a pair of great jeans!
Now I know that Tracy Porter's clothing is expensive and not all of us can afford to buy from her website but here is my Fabulous Find of the Day from Ross. Yes, Ross. I always look at the shoe department when I'm there because sometimes I find something really awesome. The clothing department is always a mess so I don't look at clothing very often (when I'm shopping there) but I always check out the shoes and housewares.

MMmmmmm...chocolate brown....
Fab leather boots by Nine West. REAL leather, not that awful vinyl stuff!

$19.99!!! You saw it right I paid only $19.99! See the retail value of $189.00. I love it when I find a great deal. I was so excited that day, I think my daughter thought I was crazy, LOL! I haven't worn them yet but I will soon.
I hope you enjoyed my Fabulous Find of the day and happy shopping to you!

Have a fabulous day!

The Apprentice

My daughter Savannah decided to make cupcakes for her BFF's birthday. She got her cupcake decorating skills from my sister Jenny, aka "The Cupcake Queen". Jenny's cakes and cupcakes are in demand and they are always beautiful as well as deeeeelicious! Savannah has helped Jenny make cupcakes several times in the past.
Savannah was not too thrilled that I took her photo. This photo was taken after 2 hours of dance practice :)
Her BFF's favorite color is orange and she added pearl sprinkles:
We had enough ingredients to make another batch of frosting so Savannah baked another batch a couple of days later. All these cupcakes are going straight to my waistline, LOL! We didn't have another pastry bag so she used a Ziploc bag (which was not as easy to use) but got the job done.
The cupcakes are a pretty sage green color (the photo is not too good).
Savannah and Kandice in Hawaii last March doing a little dance to Hula music as they were walking. The guys in the background were laughing at them and later called them the "crazy dancing girls"! I was entertained by them throughout the entire trip!

The "Tamara Two" Card was just listed at my Etsy shop and website. Aqua is so divine...love it!

I hope this post brings back fond memories of your good times with friends!

Have a fabulous day!

Krafty | Chic

I debuted my newest line of chic, handmade note cards and gift tags at my website yesterday morning! A big "thank you" to my sister Jenny for helping me with the name and "logo" for the new line!
My new photo backgrounds were a big inspiration for this line as well as vintage French clothing and paper goods. I hope you are inspired by something fab today!

Have a fabulous day!

I also had a new photo shoot and changed by backgrounds. I decided I would go back to the simple and chic backgrounds that I used when I first started my Etsy shop back in 2007.

School started today so hopefully I can get back to a routine and get more work done.

Have a fabulous day!

Hawaii or bust!!

It's competition season for my daughter's drill team so it's been really hectic around our home. Three competitions down and one more to go...in fabulous Hawaii! And, yes, I'm going to Hawaii with my daughter...we are sooooooo ecstatic! We have been finishing up last minute details and will be leaving soon for a week in paradise. We are really excited since this will be our first trip to Hawaii (I probably won't want to come home :-)!!

Savannah was jumping for joy (literally) because she didn't have mono or the flu, it was just some kind of virus. Thank you everyone for your kind words and prayers, they were greatly appreciated! I am so fortunate to have such loving friends and family members! Savannah had to drop out of 2 of the 4 dances at the first competition and also her Solo but was added back to all 4 dances for the 2ND competition. She will be performing her lyrical Solo in Hawaii.

Savannah performing in the Jazz routine.

The girls have done extremely well at the competitions so far (including 4Th place overall out of 43 teams at one competition)!

We re-decorated the drill team locker room for competition season. The theme is "Under the Sea" but I chose to decorate with a Hawaiian theme. I envisioned a window (with a view to the ocean) with a bench in front of it. I used a grass skirt for a "window valance". I packed her present in a green sand pail. I used pink terry cloth fabric on the bench pad and "valance". Here is Savannah's dressing area:

The cute felt flip flops are from Hobby Lobby. I use them as curtain tie backs (along with some raffia).

The "relax" sign is from Joanns. I painted it tan and then sprinkled some real sand on it. Then I added all of the embellishments.

I decoupaged the picture frame with Hawaiian paper and embellished it.

The paper lantern, silk flowers and "sand castles" are from Dollar Tree. The sand castles are actually church figurines that I painted a tan color. Then I sprinkled real sand on them. I'm always improvising!

I am not allowing comments on this post since I am leaving for my trip soon but I really hope you and your family have a fabulous Spring Break!
